What time do we return to Key West?
Check your tour options for estimated return time.
The Overseas Highway is mostly a two-lane road, one lane each direction.
While we try to arrive on time, the actual arrival time depends on traffic.
Do you have a military discount?
Yes, we appreciate your service and are happy to offer a 20% military discount with ID.
What should we bring?
Walking Shoes, Camera, Hat, Sunglasses, Sunscreen, Insect Repellant, Swimsuit & Towel (if you're participating in an optional encounter or just in case),
Rain jacket/poncho (you never know when it might rain!)
Are you providing alcoholic beverages?
No, but we do provide complimentary filtered water on all tours and sodas on tours that include lunch.
Alcoholic beverages are optional at our Tiki Tour stops.
How far up the Keys are we going?
It depends on the tour. We operate throughout the Keys.
Will there be bathroom stops?
Yes. We typically have a bathroom stop about every hour and a half.
How many people will be in the van?
Up to 12 people
We will be in Key West for the day on a cruise ship. Can we join your tour?
Yes! Because there is only one route for us to return to Key West, IF something should occur along our route, we may be delayed. If your ship is in port for 7 or more hours, we may be able to accommodate you. Please call 305-587-5575 or email us at to discuss your tour options. We are not responsible for any scheduled activities or departures following our tour, including cruise ships, Key West Express, airlines, sunset sails, restaurant reservations, weddings, etc.
Can we book a private tour?
Yes! As of June, 2020, all of our tours are private. We will be happy to accommodate your group and customize your tour. Please give us a call at 305-587-5575 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What about the weather?
It’s hot, humid, and the sun shines in the Florida Keys. It also rains. We like to call it ‘extra humidity’. It could rain any time, but it’s typically warm and short-lived. We will do our best to keep you out of the rain by rearranging our scheduled stops so that we are indoors while it’s raining and outdoors when it’s not. However, sometimes, you’ll be in the rain. We will provide ponchos to help keep you dry and you always have the option of staying in the van.
If Up The Keys determines that the weather is hazardous or not conducive to the enjoyment of our tour, we will cancel the trip. If we cancel due to severe weather, you will have the opportunity to reschedule or receive a voucher for a future trip.
Are accommodations available for persons with disabilities?
Yes. Please let us know if you need accommodations due to a disability.
If you or a member of your party requires a wheelchair accessible vehicle because of a mobility disability, we can provide an ADA compliant vehicle with 48 hours advance notice. Please contact us by phone at 305-587-5575 so we can make your sightseeing experience as comfortable as possible and so we can provide an appropriate vehicle.
We can pre-board the elderly and physically challenged if requested.
Can I bring a stroller or car seat?
Sometimes we have space for strollers. Please check with us first by calling or texting 305-587-5575 or email email@example.com. You may bring a car seat.
What if I have food allergies?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the food we provide is allergen-free. Therefore, we suggest you bring your own lunch and snacks. Please let us know when you book your trip if you will be bringing your own lunch.
Will you provide snacks?
Yes, we provide simple snacks and filtered water. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks if you prefer.
Will you provide life jackets?
We will not provide life jackets. If you are on a snorkel or kayak trip, the excursion operator will provide life jackets. If you are participating in an optional encounter, you may opt for a life jacket provided by the attraction.
Can we feed the Key Deer?
No. We do not feed the wildlife, ever. It’s harmful to the animals and the environment.
Can we swim with the dolphins?
Yes, if it's available during the time we will be visiting the Center. For an additional fee, you can choose an optional Dolphin Program.
Should we tip our tour guide?
Yes. The industry standard is about 20% of the tour price for good service. Your tour guide is not only your safe driver, but also your extra pair of eyes, and your information station. They appreciate your gratuities.
What if we don’t have fun?
Please let your tour guide know right away if you are not having fun. We want all of our guests to enjoy their day up the Keys and your tour guide will do what he/she can to ensure your enjoyment.
